Worth stopping for once a in a lifetime photo....That's it for us though. Too crowded!
This is called a "monument", but its not a US national Monument. NPS passes will not cover the entry fee.
Fee: It's on tribal Land, and there is a $10 dollar fee just to park.
(When traveling in the SW, be aware that things on tribal land tend to be more expensive)
There is a very long single file line to have your chance to stand on the 4 corners. You are pressured to snap a photo quickly and then move on. Make sure to plan out your photo idea before you make it to the front of the line.
The whole place is really a big market for Native American Souvenirs. So while I held our place in the long line, the boys ran off finding lots of things to ask me to buy. I would suggest having another parents/adult or older child with you.
Directions:
Traveling from New Mexico- travel West on US-64/NM-504. Turn North on US-160, drive approx 6 miles to Four Corners Monument. Traveling from Colorado- travel South on US-160 W/CO-789 W, until you reach Four Corners Monument. (Approx 19 miles from Cortez, CO) Traveling from Utah- travel South on US-191/UT-163. Travel East on US-160. Turn North on US-160, drive approx 6 miles to Four Corners Monument.
