Yuba Lake State Park

Lakes don't come easy in Utah, but this is the closest to easy you'll find. This lake is only a little over an hour south of Provo, and it has all the top necessities. I grew up on the Great Lakes, so I have VERY high standards when it lakes I'll swim in. Unlike other lakes in Utah, this one has a sandy smooth bottom, the water is warm, the water depth increases very gradually......and you can drive your car right up to the water's edge!

You can camp right on the water too!

There is a little snack bar/restaurant, and bathrooms.

You can also rent water equipment and ATVs. I can't say enough good stuff about this place.

Directions : Take Interstate 15 south to Exit 202 - Yuba Lake. Follow the access road approximately five miles to park entrance.

Dogs: Most Utah State Parks ALLOW dogs, but they ask that you keep them on a leash.

Safety: There are no lifeguards, so be safe! The gradual drop off means kids can go out a lot farther before it gets deep....Meaning people on the beach are farther away from them if they need help. There are no grills or drinking water on the beach, so bring your own.
